Positively Charming Things

If it is working for everyone…. You may see something nifty-neato on my blog here that I figured out how to do tonight. I was a slacker again, and didn’t come up with anything for this month’s Polymer Clay Smoosher’s theme, which was Buds and Blossoms.  Not until after the fact, anyway… that will be in a forthcoming post tomorrow. Because one post today just wasn’t enough. LOL Ok, anyway.  I’m finding myself contemplating redesigning my blog again.  Getting bored with it already I guess. The tough part?  My blog software doesn’t really come with any templates.  This one, and any new ones, will have to be hand made by me. There are *some* places that make templates for this platform, but very few free ones; and if I felt up to it, I could probably find one for another platform and port…

My husband and I started a diet, four weeks ago this Sunday.  We’re on NutriSystem, which so far, has been one of the better diet’s we’ve tried.  We’ve tried Atkins (lost pretty decently, gained it back and then some), and MediFast (lost ok, also gained back plus).  Atkins just seemed awfully strange, and MediFast was… lacking in palatability.  But so far there are only a small handful of NutriSystem items that I’m not fond of, and what is…

I have an old painting that I started in my senior year of high school, which my then-teacher effectively ruined by painting upon it with her firm idea of what she thought I should be doing with it. Here is a picture:     I used a photograph from some book for the fuschia flowers in the background; the butterfly in the foreground was something I added to fill in the picture.  My intent was for the butterfly to be sort of transparent.  My teacher was not fond of this idea and…

Since there were only two people who commented on my bow giveaway post, I thought it would feel odd picking a number or flipping a coin or whatever to choose one winner, so I have decided to give away a bow (or set of the smaller bows) to both commenters!  Yay, congrats to you both! I missed participating in the last theme challenge that the Polymer Clay Smooshers, which was “Nature”, because 1) I usually procrastinate on those anyway, and 2) as a result of that and my sudden decision to participate in the craft fair last weekend, my time was spent making bows and stuff instead of clay smooshin’.
