Don’t I wish. I haven’t been to the beach in a couple of years, we live too far away for it to be a frequent visit. But I definitely want to go back sometime. My family, which included my husband, my daughter, my husband’s mom and myself, went out to San Diego when my daughter was two and a half years old. We visited the beach the evening we arrived, so it was my daughter’s first time seeing and stepping foot in the ocean. She was a bit hesitant…

Last chance for $5.95 a month studio at ArtFire!
Ok folks, today is the last day you can opt-in to get an ArtFire studio for only $5.95 a month for as long as you want it! Tonight at midnight Arizona time (currently the same as PDT) they’ll be activating this deal, and after that the price will go back up (I think it is $15.95/month after that). Don’t miss out! Just a reminder - listing 30 items at Etsy - and not re-listing them a few days later - will cost you $6! So having a studio at ArtFire is a huge benefit,…

Polymer Clay Smooshers Masquerade Clay Ball
October is right around the corner, and with that brings cooler weather (well, for most places anyway - we’re still getting over 100 degree temps here!), Halloween, and… the Polymer Clay Smooshers Masquerade Clay Ball. I was not a member of the guild last year so I had not participated then, but I am participating this year. The Ball starts October 1st, and there are prizes to be had, made by our guild master, ColtPixy, and another fellow guild member, HaffinaCreations. …

New listings - pumpkin pie bead charms
I just listed some pumpkin pie bead charms I made a while back, and I’m making some more this week. There are four sets up for grabs - two pair without whipped cream, and two pair with whipped cream. They’re made with Premo polymer clay and real allspice. They do have a hint of allspice scent from using the real thing. These can be used to make a charm bracelet, earrings or a necklace. If you like pumpkin pie, you might like these, especially since they are…

ArtFire will activate their deal - don’t miss out!
The guys that run ArtFire decided to go ahead and activate the group deal that many of us have been promoting, on October 1st, 2010. That means, if you sign up for a Basic account and opt-in before that date, you’re guaranteed to get a Pro studio for $5.95 per month, for as long as you want it! NO closing fees, no need to re-list anything! Lots of great Pro features! I’m happy that the two studios I have will get that rate, I’ll have two shops for what…

One fifth of the way there!
I added a second studio today. I figure, if this deal reaches 20,000 people and opens up, I’ll be paying for two studios at almost one dollar less than what I’m paying for the one I have now! My new studio will be for beads that I make with polymer clay. My main studio will be for jewelry, and maybe sculptures if I feel like adding them to sell. It looks like we’re about 1/5th of the way to the first goal of 20,000 sign ups. My new studio was the #4081th…

Get in on this deal while it lasts!
My studio is hosted at ArtFire, and this month they are offering a super deal I don’t know that anyone could - or should - refuse. They are offering, for a limited time, and a limited number of people, their monthly rates at $5.95! BUT - ONLY if at least 20,000 people sign up, and after that, it is limited to 50,000 artisans! There are no closing fees, no listing fees, and lots of great features. You really don’t want to miss this! I know I could use the savings,…

Spotlight on: Gingerbell’s Gifts
The Smoosher of the week this past week (I’m late this time - sorry!), is Gingerbell’s Gifts.
Ginger is a multi-talented Smoosher - she beads (as in seed-bead), smooshes clay, and creates candles, tarts (the non-food type), and soap! Not to mention jewelry from her clay creations.
Here are a few of her wonderful items:
She has a coupon listed at her studio for 10% off. She has lots more to offer than what I could show above, so please go check it out!

New additions to my Studio
First, just to let you know, I didn't do a Featured Smoosher post last week because that person was me for the week. But, I did get two sales during my week as the Featured Smoosher, yay! One was a set of non-clay earrings, and the other was both sets of my snowmen charms. Anyway. August's Polymer Clay Smoosher's challenge theme was "medieval", and here are the two pieces I came up with for it. This one is a pewter colored medieval cross. Hand cut and shaped, with a red decorative marble…

Spotlight on: Haffina Creations
This week's featured Polymer Clay Smoosher is Haffina. She lives in Australia and runs several shops - HaffinaCreations, BeadsByHaffina, HaffinaAgain on Etsy and HaffinaAgain on Zibbet. Such a busy bee is she! Not only does she run four shops, (at least that I know of, I'm sure there are probably more!), she has such a variety of items available at each! At HaffinaCreations, she offers handmade jewelry, some of which incorporates her handmade polymer clay items, as well as beaded jewelry and…
