Drawing for winner, later tonight
Only four entries. We’ll have to do better next time.
I’m currently waiting for my husband and my daughter to come back from a quick gift card spend & dinner pick up, then later tonight I’ll draw the name for the winner of the knit or crochet stitch marker set.
Stay tuned.

Last chance to win a stitch marker set
Today is the last day to comment at this post if you’re interested in winning a stitch marker set for either knitting or crochet. In your comment, if you have ideas for the type of stitch marker you’re interested in, make sure to note it there. Sometime on Saturday, January 22, I will do a drawing, and the winner will get a set of stitch markers based on the suggestion that person left. Even if you don’t knit or crochet yourself, if you know someone who does…

Looking for input and a giveaway!
I don’t know if there are any knitters or crocheters out there reading this, but if there are, I have a couple of questions for you. I’m looking for some items to make with my polymer clay, that are not too time consuming. While it is not by any means a new idea, it is new to me, so I thought maybe, stitch markers. I knit myself, although it has been a while since I made something that required a stitch marker. But I have several sizes of needles I could gauge the ring…

While this date is neat, I think 11/11/11 will be even neater.
But anyway. I have to brag a little. I sold a necklace yesterday to one of my co-workers. It’s my first in-state sale, so I’ll have to report my sales tax for the first time since I got my tax license a year and a half ago.
Thanks, co-worker! You know who you are.

Updated code, and my Smoosher’s entry
I think IE should now be able to see this site without choking. I’m a little embarrassed to say it was bad coding on my part, and apparently FF and Chrome just “knew” what I was getting at, while IE was taking things literally. With the help of my mother-in-law, who I am quite grateful for saving me the headache of figuring out what went wrong, all should look good now. Can’t promise anything in older browsers, but the up-to-date ones should be good to go. ArtFire…

Happy holidays and ringing in 2011
So I have once again fallen away from posting anything. That tends to be my cycle - go gung-ho into it, and post post post, then dwindle off until a month goes by before popping back in to say something. I used to blog pretty regularly a few years ago. I don’t know if my tendencies to slack off about this whole thing now is simply being bored with it, or if I’m just overly cautious since this place is more or less the face of my itsy bitsy business and I’m…

Polyform is changing their colors
I am not happy about this. Polyform - makers of Premo and Sculpey are changing their clay colors. They are adding several that, to be honest, look interesting. However, they are also doing something I think is incredibly stupid and idiotic - they are eliminating some of their primary colors!! The following colors are discontinued: Red Pearl, Green Pearl, Cobalt Blue, Sea Green, Copper, Zinc Yellow, Frost, Fluorescent Green, Fluorescent Yellow, Fluorescent Red and Glow-In-The-Dark – We’ll…

Smoosher’s Scavenger Hunt for the Holidays
I posted about this the other day, but I didn’t provide a snapshot of some of the prizes that you can win.
And you can get more details, as well as other ways to enter to win one of the prizes, at our guild’s blog.
There’s some really neat items to win, so you won’t want to miss this! Plus who knows what cool item you may come across in the scavenger hunt that you just HAVE to buy!

Don’t I wish. I haven’t been to the beach in a couple of years, we live too far away for it to be a frequent visit. But I definitely want to go back sometime. My family, which included my husband, my daughter, my husband’s mom and myself, went out to San Diego when my daughter was two and a half years old. We visited the beach the evening we arrived, so it was my daughter’s first time seeing and stepping foot in the ocean. She was a bit hesitant…
