So I’ve finished thirty-two more pumpkin pie slice charms like these: (some with and some without whipped topping). I haven’t photographed them yet, the whipped topping on some is a little different and I used copper for the wrapped loops on some of them as well, but they’ll be available for the asking when I increase the quantities on my listings. Currently I have some ice cream cone charms in the oven, we’ll see how those turn out. I have to admit, I…

H@ckers are strange beings
So, the whole reason I had to move my site over to ExpressionEngine sooner than I had planned, was because some bored h@ckers in Eastern Europe defaced my main page, getting in through my installation of WordPress.
WordPress, which I had updated to the most recent version at that time, which was 3.0.

As you can see, I now have ExpressionEngine up and running my blog on my main domain now. I have retired WordPress. There are still quite a few things that EE can’t do that WP could, but I will just work around it. The biggest good thing, I think, will be that this software should be a lot stronger in the security department. As I mentioned before I transitioned over to this software, when I imported all of my entries from WordPress, it created member profiles for anyone…

New blog is coming together
Ok, I finished editing and moving entries around, assigning them categories, etc.. Please take a look around. I know my links in the sidebar are still not set up yet, but that will be on my to-do list. Please feel free to comment about what you think of my new blog! I will be moving it probably within a week, to it’s permanent home in the main directory, so when you type in my domain, this page is what you see (essentially, I will make it so /eeblog/ is not necessary to see…

Please take a look at my new blog
http://www.positivelycharming.com/eeblog/ I am toying with another blog platform. It is actually called a "CMS" - "content management system", but in a nutshell, that is what all blog platforms are. Some are just more robust and can do more than others. Anyway, I used this one, called Expression Engine, as my main blogging platform for several years at another domain, but stopped shortly after that domain got hacked (via another even older and neglected blog platform - Movable Type), because I…

My blog may look a bit funky for a little bit. I'm trying a theme that will help me export my entries from WordPress into a format that I can import to another blog platform that I am going to experiment with, and it's going to mess up the look of this place while I do so. I will put everything back the way it looks now when I am done with it though, no worries. And if/when I'm ready to migrate over to the other platform completely, I'll post again but hopefully it will be relatively seamless,…

It seems I have crafting ADD - there are so many things I want to work on or try, that I work for so long on something, lose focus, and move on to something else. I've moved from polymer clay, to making hairbows, to picking up some new watercolor paper blocks and even some nice tubes of artist paints so that I can revisit painting with watercolors, all in the last two months. I blame the latest on receiving my new how-to book in the Dreamscapes series, Myth and Magic: Every time I look at her…

I have my database files back and a clean install of wordpress.
If you see any problems let me know. I know there may be some photo links on featured studio posts that are not working, but that is really the least of my worries at the moment.

A step toward being healthier
Last week after reading how artificial sweeteners like Splenda and Aspartame could potentially goof around with one's triglyceride and blood sugar levels, I decided to give up diet sodas. The week before, my gynecologist ordered cholesterol and other similar blood tests for me as I'd never had them done before, and while everything else was within normal ranges, my triglycerides were slightly elevated at 185. All I'd had to drink that morning - because I did not know I was going to even have…

A funny thing happened today
So today was "bring your child to work day" at work, and I brought my four year old daughter with me. We had fun, and she got to play with one of her friends that she met at a coworker's daughter's birthday party. Anyway, after the morning's events, everyone went to a pizza place down the street that has lots of games and stuff. I ordered our food and stood in line to get our drink cups filled. When it was my turn, I set my car keys down on the metal countertop. I filled my daughter's cup first,…
